BREAKING NEWS HOW APC’S GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE IN KOGI ELECTION DIED.


Governor Abubakar of All progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate has been declared dead. According to Sahara Reporters, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state, Mr. Abubakar Audu died of undisclosed medical reasons shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared his victory at the elections inconclusive.

Meanwhile he was reported to have been leading with 40,000 votes which make him to be on the bright side of the inconclusive election by the Electoral body. The Deputy Governor will be sworn in. This is what S.181(1) says: "if a person duly elected as Governor before taking and subscribing the oath of allegiance and oath of office, or is unable for any reason whatsoever to be sworn in, the person elected with him a Dep. Gov hall be sworn in ."" (b) If a candidate in a runoff election dies or is declared ineligible before runoff election day, the candidate's name shall be placed on the runoff election ballot". 

Sources say Audu complained of stomach cramps before going to bed last night. He subsequently suffered a stroke this morning around 9am. Later in the afternoon, after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the election inconclusive, Audu suffered another stroke and passed away. The 68 year old is survived by wives and children.
While many is still of the believe that he is alive hale and hearty, Wikipedia on line has recently changed the status of the demise to *Deceased*

His first tenure was from January 1992 until November 1993 and the second from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2003. Daniel Isa, Abubakar Audu's Campaign Director-General at about 6:30 pm this evening confirms Audu's death on phone when our correspondent spoke with Daniel Isa, Audu's campaign director-general said, "Yes, Audu is dead. I can confirm that to you.

"He died this (Sunday) evening. All I can say now is that Audu is dead, but I don't know what killed him until post mortem is conducted on Audu's remains."
