With the success of his political campaign in the 2015 election as a law maker and after entertaining us with great movies like ‘Guilty Pleasures’, ‘Bursting Out’, ‘Kiss & Tell’ and series of others, fans of Nollywood actor turned politician, Desmond Olusola Elliott will have to wait for the next four years to see another movie from the actor who doubles as a filmmaker and a director.
The lawmaker who represents Surulere constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly disclosed to NET at a recent event, that he will not be acting or releasing any movie for the period of his stay in the house as he is focused on the act of lawmaking. "There is nothing acting in all I do now, it’s the job as a legislator and doing work to ensure that there is a better structure in the industry." Desmond disclosed.
He however further revealed that he is still a part of the industry and will continue to support it. When asked how he intends to use his new position to impact Nollywood, he simply said, ‘just wait and see’...
