Kabiyesi Olu-Itori led the staffs of
Lafarge cement plc in an entourage to D.S Adegbenro Polytechnic Itori where the
formal presentation of a coastal bus to the student of the polytechnic took
place, also kabiyesi Oba Fatai Akamo presented the repaired Urvan bus which was
damaged due to a fatal accident involving the outgoing student union president
of the school.

When expressing his heartfelt gratitude the
school rector Dr.Olalekan Oyekunle said he owes a large debt of gratitude to his
royal highness and the Lafarge group for the great act of kindness. He said “permit
me to single out His Royal Majesty Oba Abdul-Fatai Akorede Akamo Agbodere 1 for
his dogged and tireless effort to ensure the growths of the polytechnic, his
conviction that there is no substitute to education in extricating his
community from the shackles of underdevelopment has moved him to embark on many
laudable project that have positively impacted on the polytechnic and the
entire Itori Community”
The school outgoing student union president
Com. Ayobiowo Akinwunmi Micheal
commended the LAFARGE CEMENT PLC for the
bus newly dedicated for the student usage, also the school management and most
importantly the fatherly care of Kabiyesi Olu-Itori for facilitating the
processing of the bus from Lafarge cement PLC Ewekoro and also repairing the
existing bus that damaged from an accident that involved the school SUG
president. “I give more honour, more ‘Gbosas’ to
kabiyesi , because I was involve in the fatal accident that kept me on hospital
bed, when we informed kabiyesi he took care of the hospital bills and also promised
to repair the damaged bus”.
The new president elect for 2015/2016
academic session Com.Agboola Rafiu Olatunji also spoke affirmatively on the
safety caution given by the LAFARGE staffs as their core value by the Plant
Manager Eng Tienri Terere which was represented by Eng Tunji Oguntola,
Com.Rafiu said he wants the school to give the student a competent driver and promise
to make the usage of the seat belt a compulsory act whenever the students’ are
on board.
