The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has expressed satisfaction at the completion of a Model farm settlement under the supervision of the State Ministry of Agriculture at Owowo Village in the outskirt of Abeokuta.
The Governor described the project as one of the laudable projects to be commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari in
commemoration of the 40 th Anniversary of the State.
Governor Amosun, who was represented by his Deputy, Chief (Mrs)
Yetunde Onanuga while on a working visit to the farm with the top

farm settlement if properly maintained by the beneficiaries would
boost Agricultural produce, increase Internally Generated Revenue
(IGR) and reduce unemployment among the teeming youths in the
State.
He urged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the settlement,
so that efforts of the Government would not be in vain.
While appreciating the Government for the gesture, one of the
beneficiaries at the settlement, Miss Yetunde Akinsanwo who is a
graduate of Animal Production at the University of Agriculture,
Abeokuta, thanked the Government for the privilege given to them to
be self-employed, promising that they would make judicious use of the
capital given, thereby becoming employers of labour.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Pastor
Oladipo Odeyemi revealed that over forty participants have been
empowered in which most of them were unemployed graduates.
He urged the beneficiaries of the scheme to remain focused so
that Government would be able to do more.
The representative of the Governor had earlier visited model
school in Onijangan-Jangan and the on-going Ofada Mowe - Ibafo dual
carriage way that were nearing completion.
