I AM ASHAMED OF OUR PRESENT LEADERS - PASEDA

Hon Pasheda is the gubernatorial candidate of Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), he recently had a spontaneous media chat with journalists at the annual thanksgiving of former Governor Otunba Gbenga Daniel, where he revealed how he intends to actualize late sage Baba Awolowo’s dream in 2019 and more…..enjoy

SIR, JUDGING FROM YOUR 2015 GOVERNORSHIP RACE, WHAT HAVE YOU OBSERVED ABOUT THE ELECTORATE IN OGUN STATE?
2015 election was a platform for electorate in Ogun state to know me, and I think by now they now know that Paseda exists, they’ve observed me, tested me, googled me and even ask about me from reliable sources and now they know what I stand for, so 2019 is the year that the good people of Ogun state will give me another opportunity to say a bigger thank you to them.

THE ISSUE OF ARMS DEAL IS EVERY WHERE NOW WITH A LOT OF REVELATION BEING ATTACHED TO DIFFERENT POLITICAL PARTIES IN NIGERIA, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS?
The issue of arms deal has nothing to do with UPN, and Paseda will never get involved in a thing like that, I know where this is coming from, you see, let us call a spade a spade, in any political party, there is always past occurrences and some will  be good and some will be bad, but these absolutely has nothing to do with UPN or  Paseda, I challenge anyone to point out if Paseda, the UPN Chairman or any of UPN chieftain participated in the controversial arms deal money sharing, we are legitimate people.
CAN YOU TELL US WHY YOU SAID YOU ARE ASHAMED OF THIS GENERATION?
I am afraid of this generation because anything that is negative that does not speak well of our nation from our so called leaders is usually shameful to me, from my own view, when you call yourself a leader you are supposed to lead by example but when such is found wanting then I am always ashamed of our present leaders.
YOUR MESSAGE TO MUHAMADU BUHARI ON THIS ANTI CORRUPTION WAR?
I never supported president Muhammad Buhari from onset, I was against him, I was against Goodluck Jonathan, because I was of the belief that they are birds of feathers, I went to abroad recently and I couldn’t use  my credit card and this made my visit very difficult but I was very happy because I know that was the beginning of what we need to do in our state, you see, we have to suffer before things will come to shape, if someone like me is facing that, then it means that I am in the same boat with every citizen of Ogun state.
My message to President Muhammadu Buhari , I support you now, I now believe in what you are doing, I would be right there side by side if I am giving the opportunity to serve, even freely I am ready to do that for my country, the issue here is, he is doing what he feels is right which I also believe in, then he should not be distracted or challenged, and most importantly he should not be moved by unnecessary pressure to step down but instead he should step up, what I am looking for now is true prosecution because we’ve had enough of arrests, let us also have enough examples of those that are put behind bars then the people in Diaspora will see that we mean business.
YOU SEEEM TO BE RELATING WITH PERSONALITIES FROM OTHER POLITICAL PARTIES THESE DAYS, CAN YOU TELL US THE MOTIVE BEHIND THIS?
I am an Awoist to the core, and I believe in Baba Awolowo’s philosophy to the latter, from what Baba said before he died, he said ‘there will be a time when the good from the left and right will come together to form a credible government’, what this means is that the good from, APC,PDP,UPN etc can come together to form a formidable force to move Ogun state forward, I will work with anyone regardless of their political party differences, if they are good, I will go out there, look for them and get them to come and serve, it is not about me but about OGUN STATE, I am here to support ‘My Egbon’ Otunba Gbenga Daniel, he is not partisan and so I am not, I just stepped into politics so why should I  be a different person from what I am before I joined politics. I am Pasheda and I will remain Paseda. Thank you.
